Kukerin "city"

22 juni 2017 - Kukerin, Australië

Hey mates, well i am back. Just spent a whole 5 weeks in a little village, or the city as i like to call it, named Kukerin. I found the job on gumtree, applied and drove a bit scared, 350ks to the southern outback.. I arrived here a sunday, five in the evening, went inside the pub and literally everybody turned around and stared without saying a word. Bit awkward and my first thought was literally fack what did i do now. Anyway weeks has passed, and now at the time of leaving, my time seems to short. Feels like i only got to know everyone and all the individual stories, only saw half of the environment, basically i feel like leaving a bit of my family right now. Might seem strange, but the strangers at the bar whom i didnt understand at all at arrival became mates, we shared stories, shared moments, shared australian slang lessons. Some of them invited me to their house, into their family and i learned soooo much. What i am trying to say all those big blokes with their big mouth are and were all so sweet and caring that i dont want to say goodbye. Best experience until now in roo land. When i first arrived laura the last barmaid assured me it would be fun and it was! Have to be honest, heaps of days it a got a bit boring with nobody or only one person at the bar, but others were full entertainment. What i basically did was tap beer off course, clean a bit, and most of all keep the guys compagny amd set up a nice happy face. The evenings i spent next to the fire drinking a glass, or a bottle, with Bob and the last customers. Tuesday and thursday footie training was in, and les off course who took me on a date to the footie game. Rest of the time i spent my time reading, walking around in farmland, visit some farmers at their homes and sunbathing. Have to say they were pretty surprised when i came out in bikini while they are wearing sweaters and a hat ( yes it was 25 degrees so i had reason to be in bikini!) ah and of course from the moment they noticed i was a fysio i had to go to footie games, doing some strapping and rubs, but who would say no to that, young sportive people on my table haha i had so many funny and weird discussions here to much to start telling all of them, but in short i had heaps of fun! Now it is stop to minimilize the drinking again and start travelling once more (no more parties at Ryan's :'-( ) tomorrow i drive back to Perth and from next week on you can find me as a brekkie cook/cleaner in the ocean on a cruise. Who said life doesnt give you opportunities haha karma b*ch. Oh and i just realised i wrote in english, so guys if you dont understand google translate, but its easier to write in the language that you are thinking (and yes karin en lisa, now you can finally read bout my adventures!) ps; if you ever drive 300 ks from here, make a detour to the pub, stay a night, you wont regret it, and when footie boys are in put on the song daady cool and get a free striptease ;)
